FAQ's

Q1 What do we need to do?

  • Prepare an A4 sized portfolio outlining details of your project with a maximum of 10 pages.

Q2 What should be included?

  • Name & Address of School with School Contact Name & Tel No.
  • List of the main aims of the project.
  • Between TWO and FIVE pages of photographs taken during the course of the project.
  • One or two 'before' photographs to demonstrate the need for the project and the transformation.
  • Details of how your project relates to the local community, e.g. has the School main entrance been brightened up, is the area visible to the passing general public etc.
  • Details of any sponsorship, donations or help with materials that you have obtained.
  • Details of where consideration has been given to broader environmental factors e.g. recycling, composting and the use of peat etc.

Q3 What happens then?

  • Five finalists will be chosen based upon portfolio's.
  • The chosen five will be visited by a Judge and you will be notified in advance.

 

Q4 Can we have our portfolio back?

  • Yes, if you send a S.A.E. with your entry, it will be returned after Judging.

Q5 What can we win?

  • 1st School receives £100 plus certificate and plaque.
  • 2nd School receives £50 plus certificate.
  • 3rd School receives £25 plus certificate.

RULES

  • All enteries must be childrens own work.
  • Children should be actively involved in the design of their entry under supervision of a teacher.
  • All entries must be signed by supervising teacher.
  • Results will be announced prior to end of July, Summer Term 2008.

Final dates for entry are : 3rd May 2008
